Done with Flop, or done with Jeeps all together?

I'll never get why folks work their asses off and pour money into a project just to make a quick decision to make it go away. Go out and use the thing!

Buddy of mine dumped 15k into his 5.9 ZJ and sold it for 8k a week after he was done. I wanted to shoot him.

Johnny Johnny, the drama, it reads like a Novella.
Here's the thing, hasty decisions are never good ones.
You have a car to drive to work, so take a deep breath, wait a few weeks and soldier on when you get bored. If by then, you are still sick of Jeeps, you can make a somewhat better decision.

Some people like to project aspect of a jeep, some like to wheeling aspect and some like both. I guess it's time for Hendrix to thin out the heard and focus on the Dumpster project. Parting out the flop is a shame, but I understand the reasoning behind it. Give him a break....I can hardly handle building 1 jeep..let alone 2! Besides you can only drive one jeep at a time.

Good luck Hendrix with whatever you decide to do!

Thanks guys, it's really been a hard decision. I am just ready to do something different. This Jeep has never been what I wanted in a Jeep. Thats what you get when you read lots of threads on PPB, and other Forums. And be influenced by what EVERYBODY else is doing. I think I grew to fast, it's not that I could not build this jeep or keep it for eternity. I just feel like its time to stop. The Jeep as it sits is not wheelable, it will take a couple weekends( time I do not have) to get it wheelable, then there is the fact the gears are to low to cruise at hwy speeds to get there if I had the time to wheel it. Then there's the 4.0 it will need a rebuild, in fact all three blocks will need rebuilds. If I had a tow rig most of this would be null. I do not have the funds or want to stretch my finances out to buy a tow rig. I will be posting a complete break down of parts in the next few days.

Hate to see this rig get parted out, It's one of me favorites on the forum, but if I can snag some part off of a legendary build, then

actually i can completely understand why you are selling it. you really don't want two vehicles to mod... period. it just gets really time consuming and one ends up getting neglected. You'll love dumpster dive when you get to it.

and x2 on not letting other people influence you.

That right there is the reason I don't want to dive into 4-links and crap like that. It seems too many people spend years and years building, and very little time wheeling.

Part it out, then make Dumpster Dive something that you can wheel and enjoy, for years to come.

There may be a stock Rubicon in the future. Or a used RAM 2500. Problem is the wife says i cannot have them all. So, its easier to part with the Flop, build the Dumpster Jeep and buy a Tow rig.
