So, no one has the torque specs for a Dana 44?
Not for the JK axles

TJ Dana 44 rubicon axle

ring gear bolts 100 ft/lbs
bearing cap bolts 80 ft/lbs
pinion nut 160- 200ft/lbs

pinion rotational torque used bearings 10-20 inch/lbs
new bearings 20-40 inch/lbs
backlash 0.005" to 0.008"

Whyen done right and it's all together the bearing preload of the carrier/ ring gear bearings should add 5inch/lbs rotational torque over the pinion rotational torque.
This should get you going John, have fun.

Thanks Art.

She is opened up and clean. I was really happy to see good color in the gear oil. It's been 2 years almost since I had the diff cover off.

Looked up for an 08 rubicon axles on Mitchellondemand

The front axle is the same as the tj specs
The rear axle called for the same except 135 ft lbs on the ring gear bolts.
Seems a little high to me for ring gear bolts

I like those seats. Are those the same mastercrafts that Jay is running?

I went cheap on my suspension seats and while they are more comfy then the seats they replaced I'm not really happy with them. I'll probably be looking to replace mine in the next year or so.

Jay has reclining, mine are Rubicon fixed back, with a harness bar and stuff I could see no reason for reclining seats. I got harnesses also.

It's a happy day!

Yeah I have no reason for reclining seats either. If I had them they wouldn't be able to recline at all because they will be against the b-pillar "X" brace on my cage. That's the other thing that worries me about changing my seats, I literally stuck my current seats in there and built the "X" and supports around them. I might have to tear into my cage again to replace my seats (obviously I'd need to for mounting anyway).

If you wouldn't mind, PM me where you purchased yours from and for how much. I will definitely be considering swapping the seats and upgrading my harnesses as well.
