My ARB compressor arrived over the weekend so i will be getting started on my switch panel.

i will be shooting for something similar to this


i thought about putting it above my head but i got a new cb last week and i just didnt have the room to do what i wanted to do.

also last week i ordered currie's ultimate steering kit. gerald is hoping the tie rods will be in this week so they can ship out soon!

anyone have any ideas on how i could fasten the sheet metal to the inside of the dash cover?

If I remember correctly, my lower switch panel is factory installed with 4 screws on the corners. Could you bend up the sheet metal to fit that "bolt pattern" and screw it in (don't know if the early tjs were the same)?

i was wanting to semi-permanantly build the switch panel into the dash bezel so that wouldnt work. but it seems like it may take a lot more work to get it like i want so i may just epoxy it to the dash bezel and if i ever need to change it i will just have to replace the whole dash bezel.

Did you already cut out the ashtray spot? Could have screwed it to that. That's how my switch plate is, but its only half the size. (Takes place of the ashtray)

yeah i cut it out. i needed the space for my switches. i figured out what im going to do though and should be done with it this weekend.

i may not get a whole lot done tomorrow because John Daly is in town playing the web.com tour this weekend

getting there. i got my arb compressor in the mail, hence im working out my switch panel. also, i should be receive some steering beef from savvy here in the next week or so *crosses fingers*

after that i will be ready to go i think. i'll be needing some new tires too but by the time i have a free weekend to wheel i will probably have some. im thinking creepy crawlers 35x12.5x15

oh and i hooked up my passenger side parking brake cable last night. the other one (brand new) busted after i engaged it

talk about a pain in the *** job that it.
