Yea I think I'm being too picky. It's not like I wheel the hammers so hanging down 1" more then the Savvy skid will probably work for me. A plus side to not having such a high tuck is my pinion angle won't be so extreme either.

The pinion angle isn't as big a deal as the angle on the cv joint on your drive shaft

For mtr road miles and general behavior pm Curtis or Mike on MJR, they both ran quite a bit of miles on the MTR's

Some hardcore fabramicating goin on today. Since I tore up the stock license plate bracket at Cougar Buttes last time I decided to make my own relocator for the spare tire. All the ones I could find were $60+. I built this for $8. I had some slick license plate LEDs laying around too.



Full race.


Also I ordered the Rokmen skid setup. Yea I know it's not the flattest, but it will do the job for me just fine and it will be a simple install. The guys at Rokmen were helpful as usual and the T-case skid shipped a couple hours after I ordered it. . Engine skid is on backorder but at least now I can order my driveshaft and get rolling again.

Front chromos and axle tube seals installed. Pretty straight forward. Getting the splines to seat all the way was a bit tough though compared to the stockers.

Well, I decided to get the MTR's!

These things are huge for a 35. There was a set of BFG 35's at the tire shop and the MTR absolutely dwarfed it. I was surprised at how light they were too. These 35's weigh about the same as my old Coopers and Moab wheels. The tire guy said "These are going to go on one bad *** Jeep huh?"

I really like the look of the old school wheels. So much better then black. Don't worry, centercaps are on the way.











Wheeling is getting closer and closer...

To do:
Install TT
Order and install driveshaft
Center axle in wheelwell and set pinion angle
Get exhaust redone

After that, I'm going to get some rear chromos and maybe a Speedohealer. No mods for a couple months after that! Just wheelin!

I was going to get Soft 8's for cheapness, but I found these cheaper. So glad I did. They do look nice and I don't really see them around anymore. I don't see myself getting rid of them unless I win some free Racelines.
