Looks really good man! I should have mentioned I have the wraparound windjammer. Not sure how that would work with your cage though.

Either one should have it.
x2 I painted my half doors black with the fabric paint it worked good. I just washed them with water and dish soap before I did it.

Gotcha. And yea I don't know if it would fit. The "X" brace is what makes this one fit kinda bad. I still don't think it will be all that bad with the heat blasting and a jacket. I only really get the jeep out in the really cold weather if there is a ton of snow to wheel in.

I saw yours earlier and they do look good. I think I'm going to try it before I consider getting another set.

Jeep looks great man! I run the bikini, dust cover, windjammer combo from early spring to winter, basically March to November. I love that set up and it satisfies my half cab truck wishes... At least until I hit the lotto and build a brute.

Awesome, AWESOME build! It's taken most of the weekend (well my "work" weekend) but I've gone through all 71 pages and dude, that Jeep is just nuts. You've done some great work and I look forward to see whats up next.

Drove the Jeep to the beach and back this weekend, about a 6.5 hr drive round trip. I replaced the u-joint in my rear DS and adjusted my pinion angle a few degrees and it's running great. In fact, I think it might track straighter down the highway now than it did the day I bought it and the ride is perfect.

However, I have a minor issue I need to figure out now. Filled the cell before I left to the tippy top and no leaks from around the ring. That's good news Now after I had driven about 100 miles I got down to about half a tank and started having an issue. I'd be driving along fine at a steady 60mph, about 2600 rpm and suddenly the jeep would loose all power for about 5 seconds like the engine was cutting out. After 5 seconds of feathering the accelerator power would come back and I'd continue on for another 10-15 miles with no problems. But then it would hiccup again. It continued doing this regularly all the way there and I stopped to check, nothing visually wrong, no leaks, nothing. It just felt like the engine wasn't getting fuel for 5 seconds at a time every 10 -15 miles

So, at the beach all weekend while making short trips here and there and no highway it never had the issue again. When I left earlier this afternoon to come home I went again about 15 miles without issue and then it hiccuped, did it again about 5-10 miles later. So, I stopped and topped off the cell. Got on my way again and everything was fine. I kept the cell above 1/2 a tank the whole way home by stopping and topping off and it never once acted up.

So I'm suspecting a fuel related issue obviously. What I can't figure out is why. Is the fuel in the cell getting agitated enough that the pump is sucking and air bubble every once in a while? My cell is hard mounted to my tub which is a little more hard mounted to the frame than most with my cage tie-ins. That and my poly motor mounts make for a little more vibration than usual. That's the only thing I can think of.

Anyone have any ideas?

No CEL and gauges reading normal. Just the brief loss of power and it's other wise running better than ever.

Maybe it is sloshing around and catching air like you said. Cant you put some type of foam in the fuel cell to stop it sloshing around?

I believe there is a foam that you can use. I'm just not positive that will fix the problem. Driving down relatively straight flat highway at 60mph is when the problem occurs. When driving back roads and stop and go, when you'd think the fuel would be sloshing the most, I haven't noticed it.

I'm wondering if either the higher RPM and speed is just hitting that right frequency to really agitate the fuel or if there is an issue with the pump once the fuel runs down some in the tank that the pump is drawing air somehow.

Maybe I should isolate my cell with some bushings sorta like REDLYNER just did with his new cell to see if it would help.

Other than this I'm really happy with the jeep right now.

I have been running mine for a year now. Last week I ran it empty with no problems. Sounds like you need some isolators. I used old shock bushings from my front shocks. The vibration maybe enough to cause the pump to lose prime after a few miles of driving at a constant speed.

Yea that's what I'm thinking. I'm going to see what I can come up with the try and isolate the cell and cut down on vibes. I have a few sets of those front sock bushings so maybe I can do the same.

Got a pic?
