Poor Mike is getting hammered right now with school work. He told us in our groups private thread the other day. Besides getting ready for finals and stuff, I think he got hit with some end of year projects for school.

You should, in no way, take any of this personally. It's just business. So to recap, I come in peace, I mean you no harm, and you all will die. Gallaxhar out.

Kev pretty much hit the nail on the head. Unfortunately I just haven't had the time to do much of anything I'd like to get done. For the next week or two I'll be lucky to find time for sleep
I've got some work planned and a few little things to order, hopefully I'll have some time to get back to work on it soon.

I know this feeling very well Mike, I'm constantly busy with work and life that my garage time has been cut down drastically... sucks.
Can't wait to watch this continue to come together.

Thanks guys, I'm getting through it. Sitting in the library right now trying to work on a paper and wishing I could be working on the jeep in this nice weather
I may be wheeling this weekend so that would be a good ending to a stressful week. Suppose to spot for mferrari in the RcRocs comp on Sat and then we'll stick around and wheel Sun.

Stick to it Mike. We're rout'n for ya still. Just keep thinking that it will all be worth it in the end. The finish line is about in sight and you're gonna make it. We'll have to have a big bonfire and drinking celebration for you when we make it up to Rausch.

Felt like taking a break from school work for a couple hours this afternoon to do a little work on the jeep.
Pulled the skid plate off (love having a separate trans crossmember). Held up pretty well to the first trip and stayed flat except for one spot under the cat were I didn't place any support. I used some well placed blocks of wood and drove over it with the Duramax, good as new
Then I traced the pattern of the skid onto my UHMW and cut it out. I even routed the edges.
Still have to drill and tap holes in the skid for the countersunk bolts, maybe tomorrow but for now it's back to the grind.

Looks good man, I'd like to try out some UHMW. We've literally got shelves of it sitting in the warehouse at work in all different widths.......

It's good for A LOT of things. Tows anything and everything like a champ, gets excellent mileage, and most importantly, smokes Dodges and Fords
Chevy FTW!
