You know Mike, if your rig is going to be a dedicated trails only rig (which looks the direction you are heading), you should really get some tube doors, or go doorless. Either way, I could take those half doors off your hands.
Sounds like you had a great time wheelin, and that the rig worked up to and past your hopes. that's great. Can't wait to see you putting her through her paces in person.

Geez, you guys won't even give a guy a day
Pics and vids are uploading now. I got about 2.5 hours of sleep friday night, attempted to sleep in the truck sat night (terribly uncomfortable and not much sleep), and finally made it back to school around midnight last night. Had to get up and sit in class all morning and now I'm finally off for the afternoon. So forgive me for not getting the pics up right away *******

Conditions were perfect this weekend, everything was nice and dry since there hasn't been any rain up there for a couple weeks. A little dusty with all the wind but the Jeep stayed much cleaner than it has in the past. Most of the access roads that take you to the good trails are usually always wet and muddy.

Did pretty well. He was still on his bald MTRs so I was able to follow him pretty much everywhere with my creepies which are just f'ing sick btw. I can't say enough about these tires. They kept making lines look almost too easy.
We were messing around on the comp course sat afternoon and Ferrari made a spectacular save (i missed it but heard about it the rest of the night) where his buggy was basically vertical on 1 tire and he slammed it in reverse and came down hard, tearing the front lower control arm mount off the frame. We got it welded up though and wheeled all day sunday without issue

Haha, I know you want a set of half doors but I'm keeping mine no matter how beat up they get I just prefer to have my legs contained in the jeep and the half door makes a nice arm rest lol

While the pics are still uploading... Here's a little run down of how all the new stuff worked this weekend.
I am really just speechless with how well the jeep is working. I can honestly say that it performed up to my expectations and then some as it continued to surprise me all weekend long. We pretty much only ran Reds and Black and almost ran every single one in the park except for maybe 1 or 2 that we'll have to hit next time. Have never wheeled the jeep as hard as this weekend and it handled it no problem
First of all, these tires are They would just hook and grab rock like crazy making it seemingly easy to walk up near vertical rocks without the tiniest bit of tire spin. On Sunday I made it up and over a vertical boulder about as tall as the jeep is long (video of this on a friends camera, currently trying to retrieve it from him). I did put some wear on the meats attempting this and left little piles of rubber at all 4 corners but once they heated up on the rock I went right over. Was probably the craziest thing I've done in the jeep to date and it surprised the heck out of me that it was able to do it with such ease.
The rear suspension is perfect. She climbs perfect, no hopping, just tons of traction. Nothing is binding with the exception of the bolts on the Anti-rock which just barely rubbed some paint off the tub so that's not really an issue either. I definitely cycled the suspension through it's full range this weekend and it just flat out worked and put a smile on my face
The addition of the rear locker made a huge difference as well. Locked front and rear it was like a whole different ball game since the front was no longer doing all the work to drag the jeep up and over the rocks.
The belly skid held up surprisingly well for the abuse it took this weekend. The only place it didn't stay flat is directly under the catalytic converter where I didn't have enough space between it and the skid plate to add any angle. Even that didn't get bent until I brought the entire weight of the jeep down on just the belly skid (I was told my front tires came off the ground as I bumped over the rock and I slammed down right on the belly. Having a totally flat belly skid was absolutely worth the work. It allowed the jeep to overcome some pretty sharp crests that would always hang me up before when I had the stock shovel.
The Racelines are awesome although they will no longer be shiny and pretty. They got there fair share of abuse this weekend and rings have some pretty good gashes in them. I expect them to get beat up so no worries. The nice thing is I can always buy a new set of rings and there as good as new when they get too beat to hold air or something. I ran the tires at 6 psi all weekend and only burped some air from an inner bead sunday afternoon when I got in a tight spot and almost flopped the jeep twice in about 10 ft of trail. It was a good time.
Overall, I was smiling ear to ear all weekend. I'm a happy camper with how everything turned out and held up to some pretty good abuse following Jason, Holly and Mike around.
