I worked on the jeep for about 11 hours today, it's sitting on CO's and I couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. For anyone considering CO's in the rear of a stock width TJ, this is what it takes to get it done right with no compromises as far as clearances are concerned.
Some trick CO mounts me and Mike cut out on the DOR Torchmate.
Axle mounts. I decided to mount the COs on top of the axle since I was going through all the trouble so I tossed the mounts I made for the axle side as well.
Tire at full stuff (other side at full droop) comes all the way to the spot welds on the body.
And, tons of clearance for my springs now. The OD dual rate slider on the shock is the same as the OD of the springs so I have a good 1.5" of clearance at full flex. Droop side doesn't even come close to my new frame.
Full droop
This is at ride height. I'm sitting just about exactly how I wanted to with 6" up 6" down, the jeep sits very close to level with the front SA lift and 3" BDS springs.
Overall, I'm beyond excited to test this thing out. I have details to take care of before the first run like brakes, sway bar, driveshaft, new C-pillar tie-ins, painting everything, some front fenders, ect. but the hard part is pretty much done
