Mike- got your voicemail. Just let me know when you are headed down and we'll stretch the rear suspension another 4". In your free time of course.

Front axle fully welded up and primed. Goal is to get the rear axle finished up tomorrow.

I have to do gears and lockers in both and clean up/paint the frame side before it can go back together. I realized today I have about a mile of welding left to do

Finished up the monster rear axle. Moving it around all day did me in lol. Will work on re-gearing both of them so I can get them back under the jeep and then finish the cage up.

I present to you, the mohawk diff cover!

Both axles painted. The diff covers on both and front knuckles are going to be silver for some contrast.

Mohawk, all the cool cats got one lol
It ties the diffcover/housing to the truss for strength.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! Lol

It should help support the upper CA mounts and keep the truss from deforming. I didn't want to build a huge, heavy box truss on an already heavyweight axle so I kept it simple with some DOM plated with a little 1/4" that got TIG'd to the housing. The truss support just spreads the load from the UCAs out into the diff cover and axle housing so it's not trying to twist the truss off the axle tubes.

Even empty, moving the sterling around by myself is a pain. It's a beast for sure! It will eventually need to be replaced with a lighter axle (fab 9).
