Engine bay got painted, budget boost in, and a bunch of engine parts came in. Hopefully I get it put together this weekend. Frame plates are in not sure when I'll get to install them

Iv got the engine assembled. Picked up a nv4500. Finish installed the motor mounts. Bolted in the engine and test fit the trans. Less cutting than I figured but still some to be done to clear the shift tower. Running low on funds so it's going a little slow but I hope to fire this thing up soon.

And here it sits. Waiting for the oil pan to get swapped out and thrown in for the final time. Trans/tcase should get mounted this weekend.

Damn, That engine looks huge in there!!

Update time. Engine trans and tcase are set in. Iv got the floor cut just enough to fit the shifter. The trans mount goes up in the factory location. First and fifth hit the dash just a bit but I'll be bending and extending the shifter soon. I started cutting the hood open to clear the intake. I haven't decided what to do to cover it. If I even will.

What transmission do you have behind that LS

Alright. Update time. Ordered my headers from Novak 2 weeks ago. Haven't even received shipping confirmation. Little upset about this. I am beginning to lose faith in Novak. They have quality parts but costumer service and the way they ignore me is not making me a happy customer.
Anyway. Iv got to finish my trans mount and the fab work is done. Then I'll pull engine/trans to install clutch flywheel and starter. Then the fun begins and it'll go together quick I'm hoping. Also iv got a buddy's wj in the shop I'm doing an axle swap on so it'll slow me up a bit.

Got the wj axle swap done. Ordered my tcase drop for the Comanche. I'll pick up a trans mount that fits the tranny tomorrow and hopefully get everything mounted this week. Here's how the shop looked today

Still not even a response from Novak. Beginning to contemplate other options for headers since they can't even respond to an email about when I can expect the product.
On a good note at the end of the month I move into a new shop with a 2 post lift! Very excited about that.
Also a friend of mine has 2 205 tcases sitting in his shed so I'll be picking one up soon and I'll have the full drive train mocked up.

update time. Headers came in after I called and chewed someone out. They missed my order or something. I'm not overly happy with the quality either. Anyway, I got them painted. I got my front frame plates installed and welded up. This took far longer than I thought it would. This week I'm hoping to get the floor patched up and plate more of the frame and start on the 4 link. I also have started to think about running coilovers up front. Any help on that would be awesome. And here's some eye candy.

So I'm having a hard time deciding on what 4 link mounts to get. Either the Rusty's jeep speed mounts. Or the Polly performance synergy mounts. I like the Rusty's because they bolt through the floor with a plate on top. But the synergy look nice also and are sound $60 cheaper I believe. Plus I'll be welding them in and plating the rest of the frame. What do you guys think?

This thing is going to be a beast! I really like the manual trans route, not many folks go that way but I applaud your vision on this build!
