once again lots of progress with little posting. i have put most all my forum efforts into the monstaliner thread to help magnetman from magnet paints with some r&d for the new colors coming out soon. so i'm going to just post my own quotes from that thread for time saving sake.

clicky on the picky below. this is right from the monstaliner thread.

i think it has a better texture than the original black. here's a few pics of the texture close up.

i'm not worried about the windshield crease in the hood, i will be louvering the hood somehow in the future so they will be taken care of somehow.

next step will be small stuff like door & tailgate latches, dash install, roll-cage padding re-install, soft top rails back on the doors and rear tub, visors, and hood hardware (hold down latches and holding loops).

i have on order waiting for delivery a new radiator and sye kit.
i will need small things for the headlights like
1 outer bezel
both holding rings
headlights (thinking about upgrading to HID)
side markers for metalcloaks
side markers for rear (i will be flush mounting the tail lights)
i'm sure there's other small stuff but this is what i can think of off hand.

Nice build. Ive seen Jeeps with the whole body covered before, it looks awesome though. Righteous build, I'll keep up with it.

sye showed up today as i was leaving for work. i hated not getting to fondle it before leaving. worst part is i won't have time to yank the x-case out until tuesday. i have heard guys say how easy it is to do by leaving the x-case in, but i dunno if my gi-normous skid will hinder this. i will give it a good assessment tomorrow and plan my attack on tuesday.

in other news...
i am getting down to the nitty gritty now.
lights and chassis wiring remains along with
headlights themselves, including bezels and adjustment bolts
dash final assembly
tailgate conversion to CJ drop gate
seats
air filter box
i need to find my washer reservoir
mount rad overflow
get a new battery
cut and install temporary rear drive shaft (made from cherrocar front shaft)
locate and install my old trans cover
lift top plate of trans to drain fluid and replace
ditto for axles
figure out why the effin he** it just stopped running (no spark no fuel)
that about sums up everything that needs done before i can get it inspected. the list is longer but i hit the main points.

i have the next 2 days off work i'll try to get some pics up of the progress since the last pics.

i have the dash together (except the center trim peice that i need to order, and the heater controls)
sye kit installed
seats in
roll cage complete
soft top hardware and top installed
tail lights flush mounted and wired
tail gate "jeep" painted black (waiting on hinges to get here)
grille wiring installed but no headlights(i just painted my bezels)
front brakes run and bled off (rear soft line was shot need to order a new one)

that's the progress since last update, if rain holds out i'll get some more pictures and get them up for your viewing pleasure.

thanks to all who have tried to follow this is my first real thread here on the forum. i want to try to start doing more "progressive picture" posting like i have seen on other threads.

in other news i'm so excited to hopefully be driving the old girl again in less than a month! last big ticket item is the exhaust. i am thinking since i just don't have much money i will run a single exhaust out the pass side in front of the rear tire so i have some cash for some other things i NEED to throw money at like wheel cylinders, side marker lights, front flares, and a few other smaller ticket items.

anyone have input on exhaust? i'm thinkin flowmaster or corsa.

what headers are they for?I am getting ready to build a YJ and am undecided on what drivetrain for it.Either Chevy or I would like to find a old grand and swap the whole thing over.

i have no idea how they would fit over a stock skid plate if that's the route you plan on going.
