here's a couple i took after getting her back home.

and the unveiling...

after taking this pic i realized i forgot to cut the old motor mount off this side! looks like a job for the angle grinder.

i think it fits in there great. i had to move it a couple inches towards the passengers side to allow clearance for the steering shaft around the header. i will need to go to block huggers no doubt but that's another day.

That thing was a 93 zj right? If it was early 93 you can sell those manifolds to the zj guys as a performance upgrade. The dodge and jeep manifolds are different. I threw away a couple sets of each last spring.

thx fer the info!
i need a set of manifolds that are either center dump or a new drivers side manifold that doesn't point straight down. i have gobs of room for the stock manifold, the drivers side is just pointing directly at the new starter position.

The dodge drivers side exits the back side of the log. Points almost straight at your fire wall.

I have some dodge long tube headers that might actually work for you.

i wish i could have taken more pics and gotten abit more in-depth. if anyone has any questions how i did something let me know. this is kind of just a tinker toy for the time being, i have alot goin on and i use the yj as my escape from every day stuff when i need a break. besides it's tough to take alot of pics when your elbows deep into something that your trying to get done cause it's getting dark outside.

once a marine always a marine right?
i stopped wearing the uniform last year after being denied a deployment i was going to come off irr status for. go figure they told me they would rather send the green guys over for the experience rather than a combat vet who has lead marines in combat situations.

anyhow, yeah i wanna;
louver the hood
get a pioneer kit bolted on the exterior somewhere
jerry cans
recovery straps congruent with military usage
stenciled numbers,"no step", capacities, and load limits. that kinda crap
would like to get hmmwv lights buuuuut i'm not gonna spend that kinda cash just for vanity, i'll wing it.
any suggestions would be well accepted but i'm far from that stage as of yet. i havn't done more than look at it in the last 2 weeks and it'll be 3 more b4 i can get to work on it again. will be working 3 weeks of straight 12 hour swing shifts. horray for holiday vacations!

been a couple weeks but update, just ordered the 1" Prothane body mounts, yj chilton, and the zj chilton from 4wd.com ($155 for all shipped!). hoping to get the body mounted the weekend of the 11th, and start the wiring the same weekend.

This thing will be a phoenix from the ashes when it's done. Keep at it.
