yeah.... bad news,

the rear springs are shot, i mean SHOT. look at the pic, i think both rear springs have a broken leaf in them. i am looking for salvage replacements atm. anyone have a set of rear springs they're not using. lol it's always something else!

What kind of springs you got in there now? I have some partially saggy 4" rough country springs!

saggy 4" springs should so just fine. the saggier the better! if i can avoid making yet another driveshaft, and not throwing away all the brand new brake parts i just bought then all the better.

pm me a shipping price to 15834!

I'll see if I can get a price from work tomorrow or Friday. should be pretty reasonable, we have a good contract with brown santa!

I've got a set of supposed 4'' yj leafs, I know they are from a yj, just dont know the exact lift. 55 + shipping. Id assume shipping would be in the 40$ range.

just before taking that vid of the trail i was high centered in 2wd. i was rocking the jeep pretty hard and undoubtedly that's when i twisted the rear springs. they are the stock springs from 1994 and over 170k miles. saggy 4" springs all around should work decent. i think i am also going to be building an anti wrap bar sooner than expected.

i am so tempted to just drop all the parts at the garage and say "i want these parts on that jeep, call me when you make it happen". i just want to drive it on the road legally, i'm so close and it's always one more thing!
thanks for the offers guys! i'll let ya know which set i take after getting nibs price. if you guys have lift springs i would prefer replacing all 4. i suppose i could match the front with lift shackles, but i'd rather not do that.

mrs. breaker_5 made me a stencil to put my old unit insignia on each door. i knew it was only a matter of time before she warmed up to the jeep.

compare to the original.

a guy i work with said he has some 2.5" wide jeep springs. he should be measuring them tonight or tomorrow and i should see him on monday afternoon to find out if they are useable for me.

once again thanks a ton for the offers. the guy with the springs is the same guy that gave me the CJ i got towards the beginning of my build, i will be sure to let you both know, free is better than anything any-day.

if the ones the local guy has won't work i'll be sure to be in touch, actually i'll let you both know either way, lol. i will see the guy monday afternoon, he should have some measurements by then to let me know if they will work.

seems both of you blacksmith and nib have 2 springs each, the above message is for the both of you... nib your pm box is full

i am going to try to find some matte red for the eye. i think it would look dumb in black, besides the original is red so why change a good thing.

yesterday i ran new fuel lines and wrapped them in header wrap. hopefully that will keep the fuel from getting a vapor lock.

finished up the stencils today.

pics are pretty self explanatory.
