Last post to get me up to date.... Ran across a set os stock steel rims for 30.00. I couldnt pass em up. My brother works a a shop where he can bring in items from time to time and shot blast for free. 12.00 in primer and 20.00 in gloss black and here are my new rims!

Plans are to mount a set of 34x9.5 super swamper narrow SS on them for strictly off road use (they will look great at the mall too though)

Machine shop is was backed up, i should pick up block tomorrow. While cleaning and prepping for paint i decided that 20.00 was more than fair to have my head hot dipped and cleaned up too. Should start with paint tomorrow afternoon, and assembly on Saturday. Pics soon.

Finally got block back, only one day past promise date so not too bad. Total was $188.00 for bore, hone, clean block; clean and machine head; and install rods to pistons and rings.

Plus two cans of high temp orange.

Very nice work, you're my kind of guy. I would like to know where you have a machine shop that will do that work for $188. Here in NY I've taken it up the A**, no matter which shop I go to.

That is a killer deal , how long do you think it will be before you have it all back together ?

I am in Wurtsboro and I have noticed that everything up here costs more , and most of the Jeeps are rusty

The machine shop is an old auto parts store with ancient tools. The older tools that have probably long since been paid for allow him to keep his cost down i guess.

I would have had it assembled today but either the crankshaft and or bearings are wrong. Tolerance should be .001-.0015 and a .006 plastigauge doesn't even register. Pretty upset, i hope that Titan Engines will rectify the situation quickly, but im gonna miss another Jeep Jam.

Not good , hopefully its a case of undersized bearings .

Yep, undersized bearings are required. The guys at Titan have been easy to work with, i hope my case is rare, sounds like just a shipping and handling problem with my order. If it wasnt for Chuck at Titan, id be more upset. Chuck is the kind of guy who is full of knowledge and willing to share. Same kind of person as Dirk form DPG.
