Might as well: 2000 4.0L TJ
My first Jeep was 1994 4cyl YJ, with moving a lot over the past 10 years I currently can not find any photos. I had it for a few years out of high school with a crap jobs and never really could afford to do much to it. Sadly one winter morning after a pretty bad ice storm I hit a patch of ice and went off the road totaling it. I drove a POS for a few years pinching pennies and saving up envious of every Jeep I passed. Then on Feb 8 2007 I decided I would buy myself a birthday present...

Here is the original website photo from the dealership I bought it from and how it sat the day i drove it home:

Now I have owned the Jeep for 5 years, and have done a few things here and there so I'm digging through old photos and will try to bring this thread up to date on my build.

Got the Jeep home and got to work on cleaning the carbon, and flushing the systems, changed the spark plugs, etc:

A few months later noticed a little ticking sound and the exhaust note change. Cracked header. Decided to go with the entire Banks Power system (header, exhast, and the mistake of the CAI)

The CAI has since been removed and the stock box with a WIX air filter re-installed.

this i think was summer 2009, I hadn't done much to the jeep as of yet. I was laid off for 11 months and after finding a job the first thing I did after getting some debts cleared was replace the factory top with a Rampage framless top and paint had painted the fenders with krylon fusion. Unfortunately I had blown through a lot of my savings so the past 3 years has been building everything back up.

I also found an awesome deal on Rubicon sliders on cragslist $40 for the pair and couldn't pass them up. Also slapped on some stickers I had been collecting to give it a little zing:

Got enough stickers on there?

We had gotten some snow and ice around the first of the year which delayed the install of any Christmas booty. But did make for some fun on the road, and once it started melting made for some good mud:
I've installed HID's in both the headlights and into the factory fog light housings
breakfast meeting before some snow wheeling

once warmer weather came this past March it was time to put on some of the Christmas presents:
Hi-Lift jack mounted on the hood, along with some KC lights
Drake Off Road latches to replace the worn out OEM rubber
Mopar SRT themed hood blackout decal

That's my '94 YJ I picked up for 3k that will get whatever hand-me-downs that will port over from the TJ. Got it for the fiance who insisted on leaf springs. It is BONE stock, and other than changing the oil and having a car alarm installed on it the previous owner hadn't done ANYTHING to. When I found the original owners manual in the glove box on my test drive I knew I was buying it. We ordered probably one of the first YJ Rampage tops from Jake at Rampage the day it became available.

Bought a SWAG Off Road tailgate kit, as well as Rokmen Mercenary front bumper, and got them back from the local powder coating company. They do beautiful work:

during the removal of the factory bumper I spun the head clear off the bottom bolt... wait a complete PIA.

and here she is mounted up in all its sexy glory:

HATE the swaybar over the bumper, and will be correcting that...

Brown Santa dropped off a few goodies... My current suspension was SHOT and way past overdue of being replaced. So I went with the BDS 2" lift which replaces all 4 springs without any pucks, JKS bar pin eliminators, and front Currie Anti-Rock.

also picked up the ZJ tie rod swap, loaded it up and ready to get to work. Last picture of the Jeep at stock height.

the install was coordinated with the delivery of my new meats:

out with the old! decided to just cut the damn springs out and be done with it:

getting everything bolted up:

everything done, and ready for the alignment rack:

got some fancy for the rear end. ORO liteDOTs, and license plate relocation bracket.

The ride quality is GREAT, once it got broken in was better than the day I drove it off the lot. Decent flex for what I needed it to be :

The time now is 01:09 PM.
