That thing still looks good! I'm still thinking about stealing your grille idea and putting my logo in the center of it.

Have you thought about trimming the unibody portion that sticks out under the sides of your front bumper? I did mine and they made it look a lot better. I had to relocate the horns.

Best picture I can find.

Yea, current lists of projects: just picked up a 242hd transfercase and in The middle of the swap right now. Have 4 square led pods to install, two 1x4" LEDs, wiring up the fan, cb, hood louvers, inside basket, and some other things, and yes I'm cutting the sides off, deadline is Oct. 24th for jeeptoberfest. Also changed the fuel up pump, and installed form fitted floor Mats

Why the 242? are the gear radios better?

So a month or two ago the jeep started making this grinding noise like winding up gears, only did it when on the gas accelerating, cleaned both diffs out nothing wrong, rebuilt ds front and rear, swapped in a new tcase, new fluid in everything, and now the noise is still there.

242hd is 33% stronger, 1/4" thicker chain and 32 splined. And fully selectable compared to the 247

Mine did the same thing. It was bad pinion bearings in my 35. Went away when I upgraded to 8.8.
