so today worked 6 hours... got the drivers side upper shackle bolt off by torching it a lot. i have the passenger side lower shackle bolt off, but just have the top to do now. also started today to get the front going. took out the shocks, started to take out the control arms, but looks like im gonna have to use a reciprocating saw on them. also started tightening the u bolts on the back axle (turns out i have the c8.25 27 spline) and started getting the broken shock bolts out... had to stop because the damn mosquitoes were so bad.

soooooooo my rough country 4.5 inch lift is finished. after going to u-pull-r-parts and getting a new track bar, and cutting into my floor in the trunk, it wasnt so bad after all... just very annoying with some bolts that didnt want to move.
measured the front at 6 inches lift and back at 5.5 inches lift. im going to get my 33 inch bfg a/ts later today and will post pics of the jeep when i get home
oh yeah forgot to mention... no t-case drop, no vibes anywhere from 0-65... guess i got pretty lucky? steering is a little sloppy though... how do i fix that? steering stabilizer?

here are pics of the lift as of now... serious death wobble. happens anywhere between 20 and 60 mph. last night went on the highway and shook so bad the headlight cover came off so i pulled onto the shoulder and ran down the highway to grab it. gonna get it aligned tomorrow. sorry for the bad quality of pics i had to use some night-shot setting on my camera. ill post better ones tomorrow

I think it looks good, I like the Herc all over, lol... and for the vibes man you really need to look into a TC lowering, or fit the bill and do it right and get a SYE kit.
BTW the snorkel looks great! Good Job!

WELL here comes the worst part ever. getting that damn rear shackle off. i soaked it in liquid wrench. didnt budge with a cheater bar, tried pounding it with a BFH and everything... well after about 3 hours of persuading it, its out about 1/4 inch on each side! so spent 7 hours today and didnt even finish half of the rear end... this "1 day project" is gonna be a "1 year project". just a little tip for people thinking of lifting... know what your getting yourself into before you start. im really discouraged and mentally beat down. i am so fed up with this ****ing lift. tomorrow im gonna borrow a friends impact wrench and hope it helps somewhat. no pictures cause not much progress made, but pictures tomorrow.

Air tools will save your *** on stuff like this. I work at a toyota dealership so I keep a pretty good pile of them on me, didn't break a single bolt of catch any hell from any of them for my whole 2.5'' OME lift, front track bar and front control arms. Just a thought for next time you gotta do something like this, I seem to break way less bolts off with air tools to just zip them off then sitting there with a hand tool pulling on them. Lift looks good by the way, I like the bed liner look much better now that its lifted. I also just got threw with a DW situation on my jeep to so I wish you the best of luck with that. Lol

Ziptie between the door and fender.
Thanks guys I ordered a new side marker and just put a rough country sticker on my windshield today. I gotta say I'm really impressed with rough country I called them today and told them about my lower control arms bushings being opened from death wobble and they're sending me 2 new lcas free of charge. Only was on the phone for about 4 minutes. Really great service. Jeeps been sitting in my garage waiting until Tuesday when I take it to a 4x4 shop to fix my lca bracket and get it aligned

yep between that and being tight in the hole on the fender it doesnt really move. i probably will put another zip tie up top just for peace of mind but its held up great.
