is the exhaust custom? do you have to use LS1 O2 sensor's, etc.? how was fitment of the block? and good choice on the built 4l60e. curious if this combo would fit an a ZJ
Definetly U can put it in any jeep I was going to put BMW V12 in a jeep but i stumbled across ls1 first exhaust is modified trans am exhaust with napa muffler ( sounds like strtaiht six but a perfect sleeper
I have upstream o2's and all emission controlls got removed no cats egrs cats nothing just O2's to run it when it goes in close loop i Bought a ecm from Spareecms.com that had secondary o2's removed VATS removed skipo shift etc its barelly like stand alone engine system now .

hey i go fast but stoping was a problem even with 4 disc brakes it took a while to figure it out i thought that i got air in my lines but brake booster was too small for 1 3/8 master/
i salwaged a booster out of 90's f pickup just had to modyfie a linkage (extend 3.5 ") and booster mount ( redrill holes in new locations)
Now i kiss a stering wheel every time i touch a break

well nothing stopping U i'm a carpenter i did it myself becouse to hire someone or a shop would be too expensive i spent about 11k in parts etc i bet if it was done by shop would be alot with labor ( i spent 6 months 6hours a day average working on it so do the math 6months X30days X6hours X$50 an hour (low figure most custom shops get more) =54000$ $MAKARONIE$ maybe i'm overexagerating but money adds up fast just do it yourself and have fun ls1 is an extreme lq9 would be nice engine iron block and aluminum heads they can be picked up for about 1k i came across combos of engine +4l80e+ transfer case inder 100k miles for 2500$ ( very reliable engines gm engeneered them to run for 400K miles ) Wiring was bigest deal for me but i got it running ( modyfied my own wiring harnes)

had to install a fuel cell it was cheaper and way nicer than strapped in trans am tank .
- in tank replacement pump was $400
WAY too much !!!
i got 17 gal aluminum fuel cell and inline fuel pump for about 300$ and also gained about 8" of clerance ( new fuel cell is only7"thick)

Thats a best picture i got right now i stated that i gained 8 inches of clearance which is right but i was using a trans am tank that had a banana shape to it and was quite bulky there is only like 2 inch gain over oryginal fuel tank. Picture here shows rear cross member cut out and ready for 6" c chanel to be welded in ( bottom of a cchan overhangs bottom of fuel tank by 3/4 " all i need now is armor plate.
Me and my good welder friend Josh from AFT services are debating what to use . My plan is to make total turtle shell underneath closing and securing entire underbody but we still choosing what to use for materials so far we had it narrowed to 1/2" aluminum plate or 3/16 AR steal plate got to do some research on weight and strenght issues..
When it comes to handling i made few improvements and right now you can actually call it a wrangler not a strangler i did installed a 4 degree caster shims added more toe in to about 1/2" from front to rear and replaced stearing box with ford f 350 unit repacked all tirerods and baljoints . Now i can ride 80 mph with my pinki but off line torque steer is still an issue. i got 4l60e thats ready to go in just waiting for a new ecm programmed to run automatic to do it , i think that will eliminate alot of torque steer issues due to constant torq apliement instead relasing twist load in a frame and suspension everytime gear is changed.69
