Got a question for the experienced JF'ers out there.

Should I pull my transmission just to replaced the pilot bearing?

I know it's bad because I didn't replace it when I had the tranny out about 8 years ago for the clutch because I was dumb.

If I remove the AX-15 and find the input shaft bearing worn can I just replace it?

Picked up a new clutch/brake pedal pad. O'Reilly's only had 1 but their hub store was a mile away and they have 7 in stock. It's a small upgrade but necessary. The ones on there are from 1993.

Let me know how many days you can squeeze on Memorial day weekend. I wont be heading out til after work on fri, then i have about a 9 hr drive. I wont get to Windrock til early sat morning. I might just pull over somewhere on the way and get some sleep in the back seat of my truck for a bit. That way I can wake up, finish the drive and the park will be open already and I'll be ready to rock. That or I'll drive the whole way there and get some sleep in the parking lot. Was planning on camping sat night.

I've been searching in the YJ Tech forum for nothing in particular but I found an LED write-up I liked for the reverse lights. The guy used LED strips under the back of the tub and they look good to me. I don't have much real estate in the back so I may do something like that. I'm not using them for actually seeing behind me when in reverse, more like a sign to others that I am reversing. Here's a pic of his setup and a link to the write-up.

Lou, Kevin bought a TJ. Here are the specs at this point:

Green Sahara
4" lift ... unknown make at this time
33" BFG AT's
Black top .... I think soft
15" black steel wheels
2001 with 119k miles

He said he wants to go wheeling soon so we can include him as a driver next trip.
Hopefully Eddie is still down for going as well.

Yep he told me on facebook while I was in Jekyll. He asked me Thursday night about looking out for one then Friday he had bought one. Pretty slick.

He needs to post pics so we can see. Looks like we need a trip planned. Eddie is more stable with work right now so his hours aren't crazy. Maybe in the next couple months?

That reminds me. Apparently we're not going to windrock next weekend anymore Lou. The guys didn't want to drive that for so we're gonna wheel gulches.

Sorry that plans have changed once again. Feel free to head to gulches though

Dang. I would but my wife left for South Georgia this weekend and I have the pup. Plus I have to pick her up Sunday. Maybe we can stick to the original plan of making a run sometime in July. That may be the best shot.

I just got back from the JY and I need to post a pic of what I got for the jeep.

Looks like page 28.

Well I went to the Pull-a-part today and got a set of Sunfire seats. They came out of a '99. I scrubbed them today and I scrubbed the inside of the jeep while they were out. I also attempted to fix my driver's side seat riser. I had to cut out the bad metal and put a new piece in.

Here's the seats at least.
