I do not plan on using it for 1/4" material as it appears to only be for smaller stuff.
Well I might know of a HH140 going up for sale soon.

Here's the new Moog. I tried out my new to me welder but I wasn't impressed. I tacked it on the C because it didn't fit as tightly as I would have liked. The other ball joint opened up the top a lot.

Oh yeah, I put my spare on the front drivers side. I have never used it and it's been several years since I bought it. That wheel was particularly bad as it had the most dents. I figured I should get some use out of it as I plan on going to 35's for my next set of tires.

What's your voltage setting maxed out when you tacked the ball joints

Louie! Great build. I've been silently watching for a while now!

One quick question! How do you like the 33x10.50 KM2s. They're on my list of choices.

I love those KM2's. They have served me well. They ride great on the road but grab on the rocks and are decent in the mud (which I don't get into if I can help it). They also wear very well and since I drive up to a couple hundred miles to my wheeling sites that's a good thing.

I'm planning on some 35 x 12.50 KM2's next simply because I want more ground clearance. I air mine down around 15 or so but I also lose some height. I end up bashing and smashing rocks (usually regardless of tire size though).

I highly recommend them.

Thanks for the info louie. I really like the tall skinny look, but I doubt I'll be ready to run 35s by this summer when I plan to get tires so this may be the next best option. I am glad hear that they have good road manners because it is my daily driver, but I have reached a point where my all terrains are my weakest link on the trails.

I ran some BFG A/T's for a time. They were OK but they didn't have that great of a performance off-road. At least in the terrain I was in. Good luck with the tire selection as that can be a big decision when you start looking at 33's and above.

You can cut the wire speed way down till it gives a spray-transfer. This has the same effect as cranking the voltage way up. Popular technique when smoothness penetration and strength are the big requirements.

Thanks Pete. I will give this a shot when I have the space to monkey with it. That should be coming soon once we move at the end of the month.

Lou,

Did you have any problems with the steering shaft being to short for once you put the new steering box bracket on? Don't you have a 1" BL also?

I hasn't caused a problem as of yet but when I noticed I pushed on the shaft at the slip joint and it had some play plus I saw the tension spring peeping out of the outer part.

So while I haven't had any problems, it's best to address it when I can.
