Lou,
Using O'Reilly's single stage paint and a Harbor Freight HPLV gun you can repaint the whole rig for under $300.

You could also check out Monstaliner's colored finishes and go gray on your hood and fenders. That would be $100 and could look good.

I've always loved this thread. I've been back and forth a few times on this one. Good work man, also love the new profile pic.

Thank you sir. I watched some Squidbillies and remembered about Mr. Hinson.

See that there is why you need 85" wide axles!

My Jeep measures 85" wide from outside tire to outside tire. Huge stability boost over stock axles!

I wouldn't worry too much guys. My thread isn't very exciting at the moment. I did some work on the jeep Friday. My battery in my '09 Civic went out when I was going to drive my new boss down to the engineering building for him to show me around! I was a little embarrassed about it but my boss seems pretty cool. Anyway I got the battery in and then I wanted to start on the jeep. I replaced the u-bolts one at a time and man were they shot! I stripped the threads on most of the nuts that I took off.

I also found out the unit hub bearing my buddy gave me on the trail in Windrock is shot. I had A LOT of movement on the wheel. So I need to get a new unit hub bearing. This could be why my pass. side axle seal is still leaking.
