Parts Mike. They had good service and came with grade 8 hardware for bolting the bracket to the box. I bought replacement grade 8 for the bracket to frame and kept the longer bolts because of their size.

No problem. I just need to put my TJ pitman arm on over the holidays and I should be ready for the trails in December. Planning on a run to Morris Mountain the 15th.

Got the old arm off. If anyone wants it I'll ship it for the cost to get it there. I also found out my radiator is leaking.

I removed my console for you. It indeed tore my seats a little. I'm going to look for a thinner one in the meantime. Do you want me to bring it to Morris mtn? Do you think Eddie might come with the new jeep?

Did you have to install a longer steering shaft with the steering box bracket?

Nope. Unlike the CJ's, the steering shaft on a YJ will extend and collapse. A few years ago when I replaced my lower steering column bearing I took the steering shaft apart and cleaned it thoroughly and greased it. So there were no issues.

I'll post pics today. I test drove the jeep to Autozone last night to check on a new radiator, get gas, and test the steering. It took 30 minutes to find my warranty info. Luckily the guy there was persistent and found out that the replacement from July was done as a damage so the warranty info was gone. However he found where I swapped it and that it's a lifetime warranty so we got it sorted out.

The steering is back to normal and I have every bit of my turning radius back. I wish I would have just done it properly the first time. Luckily it only cost me 30 more dollars (shorty pitman arm).

I also chopped the exhaust some more and tightened it up at the manifold because it was loose.

Right where it curves down over the rear axle tube. My last trip I bent the tail pipe back to an acute angle. I cut it on the trail with a battery powered angle grinder but it was pointing at the corner of the fuel tank/skid. So now it's pointing down to the ground I need to route it out the side somehow.

I'll post a pic later. It's definitely not idea but better than before.

Yup, dumping the exhaust before the axle really only works for pickups where the exhaust dumps under the bed and its back far enough not to allow fumes an noise into the cab...
