I don't know how many other people have this problem but my passenger seat started to squeak like an banshee after my trip to Llano.

I had to remove the cover and weld the frame back together.

Makes me wonder WTF happened in the seat before I got it.

Here is the writeup....
Squeaky Seat Fix

That's the first time I have welded in about 3 years and it was ugly.

It's actually the first time I have used this machine too. I had an older model just like this when I lived in Baton Rouge but I sold it when we moved here. I didn't see myself welding much in the house we are leasing but I couldn't resist the deal I got on the machine.

Anyway, felt nice to burn a few rods again ...

So I have a few projects lined up. Some are boring and hopefully uneventful.
Plugs:
My idle has been a little bumpy and I think I have original plugs at 65K, so I'm due.

Throttle Body:
No good excuse for this but I did have one of these on my XJ and my *** dyno liked it. Feel free to dog me for the decision.

Others are a bit more interesting...
Half doors:
Will need sanding, paint & new locks. The locks I got are off an XJ and they are to big, so there will be some dremel work to do.

And one should be fun.
Custom bikini top:
After hating the fit of the bestop safari top, I have decided to use an OEM soft top and make my own custom safari/bikini top with the OEM frame as a base. We'll see what happens.
