Has anyone removed the dash completely? I need to get an AC system in my J8 and am stuck with the aluminum behind the plastic dash.

I have the PSC carrier on my LJ Rubi with no issues at all. have you tried adjusting the latch? As far as open / close, I ensured I packed the bearings really well and it's smooth.
