Found a replacement 35, it has 4:88 gears and a power tracks locker. I know I know I should just upgrade to a 8.8 or Dana 44. This Dana 35 is somewhat close. The cons are its from a 95' YJ so its just like getting a different axle (Ford 8.8) I also found a Dana 44 for $300, They didn't say what gear ratio or anything still waiting for a reply back on that.. Just keeping everyone updated on the heep.

Thanks, its about 4 hours almost 5 hours south of me.. the Dana 35 is about 3 1/2 hours north of me. I like it!! It would be a direct replacement. I just have to get my parents on board to drive 4 hours to pick up a axle XD

So what makes a rubicon? Axles transfercase? I wish I can change my build name to 2.5L Rubi Build. LOL

That craigslist 44 has everything except the rotors and calipers.. Still that was a epic deal. If its still for sale in maybe 2 weeks i will snatch it and finish it and gear it up!! I'm also going to look into NC4x4.

I told my parents where the axle is and they said thats closer then we thought when you said "I don't know how far you want to travel for this but i found a direct replacement Dana 44"

I don't think it's a rubi. They came with 4.10 gears and a locker... That's just a 44 rear like mine... Stock 3.73 gears.

The 2.5L came stock with 4.10's.. But for temp (3.73 for now) I'm going to pull the front drive shaft to street drive (I actually don't even have to pull the front drive shaft just as long as I don't put it into 4wd). My near future plan is to hi-line the front gear to 4.88 and roll on some 34's LTB's. I might have to lift to 3 inches. We will see when it happens. That's the goal now I'm also planning on picking up a Dana 30 locker to throw in when I gear. I will keep posting updates and chat along the way. "Carolina Jabs" off road group is falling apart, one of the members moved back to Florida, another enlisted into the army when I was trying to enlist and is leaving in march.. So yeah once I get the Jeep together I need to find some new wheeling buddy's for uwharrie national forest

If I went to 34's should I keep my current back spacing or what back spacing should I go with?
