Goodyear MTR Competition tires
Seems one has a sidewall cut oh well, The impossible happened I guess.
Good for me since that will knock the price down some more. Can always buy 1 regular MTR if this one isn't fixable 3 stickies is a lot better than none

Today's wheelin and spelunking

On this near freezing morning 15 Jeeps and this pretty Jeep look alike Toyota Jeep showed up for some pretty good trail fun. Lots of fun to be had for all 2 near flops a bit of strap action. A cut tire, a broken valve stem and rim was the damage for the day. We got stuck behind some JK er's for about 1 hour which made for a nice lunch and bull **** session. After Motino wash the put abouts headed home and we ran up 2n61Y and did some mine exploring in a really cool mine. This mine had a whole bunch of bats in it and lots of offshoots and several levels. It has to be one of the coolest mines in Big Bear. All in all a great day with a great group of people.
We also did a quick hike to the Spanish smelter, cool stuff.

The wanna be Jeep thing doing it's thing, just had to go there Kevin, ya know I think the ole girl is mighty pretty

The smelter viewed at the chimney end

Will post more pics and what not, when others post up pics and video

Guess a little rubi on 32's wouldn't do so well there. Looks like a fun trail to try some day.

How was Rattlesnake Cyn? haven't been there in a while and i know how it is always changing.

It's been done on 33's, see no reason why you could not make it with good driving and some spotting.
I did a ton of local trails and pretty much all the Cougar Butte stuff on 32's in my yellow Jeep

After our little put put through the mountains and into the desert yesterday, it seems like it might be a good idea to make a stinger style spare tire carrier. I cut a pre cut sidewall on a front tire, busted it pretty good so instead attempting a to plug and reseat the darr thing borrowed the spare of one of my wheeling bud's. Got to love people that run the same bolt pattern and tire size as you do lol.
Any way for some local trails it seems like a good idea and the thing stuck on the back doesn't look half bad.

Mangled a fence pipe to see what it will take to make a stinger style spare tire carrier work

Kinda getting there, inspector Meathead says it will work

Will copy the bends of this thing, make it out 1.5" 0.120 wall tube, then add a tube between the legs so I can bolt the tire to it that part will extend forward so I can attache it to center of the lower cross bar of the cage and that's it, one tire carrier build.
The krawler weighs 100lbs and I can take probably close to that in junk out of the back of my Jeep so weight wise it wouldn't make much of a difference.
