Welding when it's a 100 degrees out just isn't all that much fun. Nevertheless there is progress

3 rigs Art??..... we need to have an intervention. Lu and Mike don't need to worry about shipping or trailering their rigs. You'll have them covered!

Need to have something to tinker on, this fits the bill, so I leave my Jeep alone. That is till I find a V8 for it

I'm the same way Art, It's killing me not digging into mine. Usually I have a motorcycle to tinker on also but don't right now..... Sucks sometimes to always HAVE to have something to work on. I get cranky if I don't have something going on in the garage.

Yup that's why I bought this project, once it's wheelable the yellow Jeep will get some love and then on to a V8 for my Toy.
Just bought it a pair of 37" MTR's for some mountain fun this summer

For starters outboard the shocks in the rear. Mid arm the back with a proper 4 link. mild front stretch, loose the Currie steering and build some kinda hi steer. That pretty much sums it up

I don't know what kind of "improper" 4 link it has now but can I assume just upper triangulation or will you be going double triangulated?

Just upper. It has a wishbone trilink now, broke it once allready. Problem with short arms that a 4 link without a trackbar put a lot of side load on the arms and joints. So when it gets changed the arms will be longer to help that.

Did a lil bit of tinkering in the heat this afternoon. Darn piece was a pain in the neck to make. Astonished that my jig saw cut the curves in 1/4" plate.
