Yup took it off, didn't want to trash it. Since it takes 6 bolts and 2 pins it's easy to take off

After watching Lu's picks on Flickr, I revisited my account there and played around for awhile. It has gotten to be a very good photo hosting site.
So had some fun with it

Did some looking at my Jeep today, tightened the head pipe to the exh manifold it worked loose a bit. other than that the Jeep is no worse for wear.
Also after some considering I might attempt to built a front anti rock for it. Kinda looks like it's possible to shoe horn one in there.
Then looked at my forlorn looking buggy and started thinking about doing a bit of fab work. Headed to the steel yard, got some material, plugged the grinder in and boy I am having fun and cutting. It's putting one of these on my face.

I really like Flickr for photo hosting. has been much improved over the last few years, beats the pants of photobucket.
You can arrange the slideshow however you want, pretty cool interface.

After a trip to Los Angeles to pickup a big screen TV for a friend from work I wandered by accident in the garage and saw this rust bucket that wanted some attention, so what the heck, plugged in the welder and did a lil bit of work

Steering arms need to grow a bit from version one. If you ever setup a full hydro ram make sure the link between the ram and the steering arm is straight at full turn

Not so

But so

Oh well live and learn

Some more work on this today, I like how this came out

Anyway lil more progress

Once this one is all gussied up, I can start boxing in all the front axle mounts.
Need to flex the front to see how much I can tuck the upper arms in towards the frame and them cut spacers to the correct length
then on to the next chore, finish steering and do some sheetmetal work or build a metal brake of sorts first

Probably some time in the fall. Seems a lot of the premier trails are in about a 50 mile radius of Phoenix.
Will keep you posted.

I hope you like steep climbs, very tight canyons and are not afraid of sheetmetal damage. Az trails are not the most vehicle friendly, but tons of fun
