Tried my hand at a bit of painting today, painted the windshield frame came out pretty good no bubbling or wrinkling pretty stoked about that. Gave the hood edges a quick blast of paint too, did not come out bad so I might tack weld the hood lips back in for a more finished look, really do not care for the sharp edge on the hood. On the bright side giving little yeller some paint on it's windshield frame and tube fenders is next. In other words this was pretty encouraging to me. Tomorrow I will paint the backside of the frame and then I can glue the windshield in, might even have this done before Friday night

Nope, it all works very much to my liking, started painting some of the unpainted stuff. Other than that the suspension doesn't need work, no axle hopping and it climbs good and flexes even better

Glued the windshield into the frame today, pretty proud of my self lol. for as twisted, kitty cornered and caved in as the frame was the windshield fits perfect in the frame. Should be able to bolt the frame on tomorrow, then make a steering box skid and weld one of the front axle tubes, seems like one of the plug welds leaks a bit of oil so I am going to nip that in the butt
Then Friday night it"s a full moon and Hammer time and if I have some energy left I am going to meet some wheeling buddies for a wheeling and going away party for one of my buds

Few pics of last night's fun, we ran spooners, coolest trail Also did all of Turkey Claw, got forbid I had to get out and stack a few rocks since the front and rear diffs high centered, got me going again though.
A bit of strapping, winching and welding and we got er done, Also on the trip back to camp a 40" Kevlar MTR lost the battle with a bend antirock arm, that was about the weirdest thing ever, poked right through the sidewall

Freddy welding Hundy's tierod heim back together

I went piece meal on my other Jeep and after visiting the hammers the first time I decided something a lot more radical was needed. So the hunt was on for a cheap Jeep something that I could built to my liking
