You mean this LJ?

I'm actually starting to make progress again after months of disassembly, cleaning, sandblasting, wirewheeling, paint, powdercoat, POR15, etc.

I'll probably throw up a "short story" here when I'm getting close to done. Don't want to be one of those threads that gets updated 12 times a year!

Hendrix on the other hand... it's like a Facebook page from a an old lady... "Going to the mailbox!"

Just kidding Johnny! The speed you've been moving is downright amazing. Are you really married? Congrats on the drive btw. You're darn close!

So new job, new house, two kids, and a new truck later, I'm finally back in full swing on the LJ. First order of business was to finally get a reasonable place to build it, which meant I spent last year building a new shop.

Then onto the actual build which was two months of merging the Cummins ECM with the stock Jeep ECM to get the full functionality of the charging system, instrument cluster, grid heaters, fan control, etc. At last, the first start (and a video if I can remember how to upload one.) Lastly, it was time to reassemble the body. As it sits today, most of the body except tub is at the body shop. Tub is the next thing to head over, and the whole Jeep is getting a fresh coat of 2015 Sunset Orange Pearl with metallic charcoal accents, similar to the Mopars of the 60's. The bumpers and misc brackets are all at the powdercoaters for a tri-coat of zinc primer, mirror black, and metallic clear. The cage is getting reworked to accommodate the new additions to the back seat and then it's final assembly time!
