Thanks! After I get the sliders on I will put up a side pic.

Do you have to replace the hood when you put on your tj grill?

Running the stock 3.54 gears until they go. Then ill have to figure out what the best option would be. Def want to look into front and rear lockers with better gears. I do not know too much about it yet so I have to do my research.

Look into a ford 8.8. Can usually pick em up pretty cheap. And not too difficult to install.
I put one in mine and love it!

I did the tj grill swap and considered the tj hood but there are a couple issues I found.

1. the hood does not fit the cowl panel and needs a lot of work to get the rear corners to fit right
2. there is a body line down the side of the tj hood that doesn't match anything on the yj cowl.

I found it easier to modify the yj hood to fit the cowl, You have a nice looking yj and I look forward to seeing your build.

Thanks for chiming in! Yea I def considered those issues. Think I'm going to take a hack at it and do some more body work to make the sides fit better and to cover up the issue with the cowl. As for that body line down the side I'm not too worried cause it will be painted gecko green so the body lines won't be that noticeable.

Yea I will get ya some pics.
You can find a ford 8.8 with the matching gear ratio You will need some spring mounts. New shackles and shackle plate thing.
The stock brake lines bolt up directly to a 8.8
Make sure you get the driveshaft flange when you get a 8.8.
Will need to get a ebrake cable.
I did mine in an afternoon. And love it!
