Added an OR Fab sport cage to my list... Spacers to level the front and Rubicon flares on their way. Soft doors are in the works...

So this week I did a little work. Put my spacers in and now the jeep basically sits level, swapped out stock flares for some rubicon flares (thank you Winters), made a mirror for when the doors are off, and wired a switch so the dome lights don't come on when I have the doors off.

Good looking LJ! Two quick questions. Where did you order the rock sliders and whats the difference between Rubicon flares and the stock ones?
Tom

Hey Logan, nice rack! Why did you put the light switch on the pass. side? Why not drivers side? metom, rubicon flares are a little wider.

Thanks guys. Metom, the sliders are Rock Hard, and I got them at www.redrock4x4.com. The rubicon flares are an inch wider, and have a different finish. Morgan, I just put the switch on the passenger side to save wire since that's where the fuse box is anyway, plus I'll be over there when I take the doors off anyway.

Gotcha, I guess that makes sense. Where is that last pic from? Do those new flares let your tires tuck up into them or do they rub? I have a bunch of stuff I want to do when I get home, just need a job and some money first.

Yeah i've got big plans, most of which won't happen. We were supposed to go to trails road, but brian was a a$$hole and slept in leaving us at the gas station waiting for him at 9 in the morning. We ended up wheeling at mike merryman's land, where that river is a page or two back. It was super nice out, so I went with the doors off, windows out, and the sunroof open. Big mess, but fun.

Overall I'm kind of disappointed in the muffler. Not as good sounding as I expected. Sounds almost like stock, just a little bit louder.

I have the same Delta 50 as well, at first it didn't sound much different. Give it about 5k and it will sound awesome. Very deep. Hang in there.

Yeah I've been noticing that. Over that past two days after driving it, it's starting to sound better and better. I didn't think mufflers could "break in". Im getting happier with it every time I drive. |
