I just wanted to subscribe and tell you congrats on a reasonable and well thought out first rig and daily driver. Your LJ is almost dead on with my plans for a Rubi LJ. I haven't decided on OME or AEV springs, but I don't even have the LJ yet, so I have time.

id rather run the spacers which im doing and have an oem wheels, aftermarket wheels are junk, i learned my lesson, stock first off is much stronger and the load capacity is much higher with oem than with some aftermarket wheels. Take a look at eagle, m/t, american racing give them one winter and they pit and look like ****. I will run oem until they look like **** then get another set, foolish to ever sell stock oem wheels.

I prefer my M/T classic II's...less weight, look nicer IMO. They wont pit if you take care of them (clean them right after wheeling)

true but they just don't hold up, i had sidebiters never bolted up close to the hub had to wiggle them all the time to get them to line up, didn't care for the finish oxide like crazy and yes i waxed them. to each their own, id still never would want to run a 15x10 wheel. But everyone has a different taste.

You're correct, but you didnt need to take a swing at my wheel width choice...I'm leaving room for bigger tires in the future. To each his own...

If you buy the right wheels they will last. I bought black powdercoat and clear coated aluminum pro comp 8069's about a year ago. After i wash my jeep just give them a quick wipe with a cloth and they look brand new. I live in montana and we get some harsh weather also. If the finish ever does get bad i will just get them re powder coated.

Ravine's are a nice looking wheel. You would have to run spacers though, it all depends when you have to take it all apart for service and such. Btw, this is my first foray into your build, and I must say, I like what I see. I wish I had the green stuff like you do to put into my Jeep.

For what it's worth, I finally rotated my tires and while doing so I spray my rusting cragar center caps black, and put a coat of Duplicolor Wheel Coating that I had laying around on each of the wheels (excluding the spare). They no longer look like complete crap, and have a nice flat-satin look to them. Tomorrow I'll change my oil.

Haha dude, I saw a white LJ that looked exactly like yours cruising around my way yesterday. I was like "there's no way that's griff" Turns out it wasn't and was some older guy with the plate name "dzrtvet"

Haha, there is actually another White LJ (rubicon though) that lives near me that looks exactly like mine. People are always like "hey I saw you driving/your jeep at....." and i'm just like "No you didn't..."
