I know nothing of this, my last two jeeps were both YJ's with half doors. Do the surrounds stay on with the hard top? or is there not room. I know what they look like but i thought they were only for soft tops. Got a link to more info, i dont want to clutter this thread anymore than i already have

the YJ doors are made differently than the TJ doors.

then they'll need to get door surrounds so they dont crack the window frames of their doors
While I can definitely see where lateral support from the door surrounds would somewhat prevent the door from vibrating or moving, I do not believe that simply driving without a hard top or door surrounds will stress those welds enough to where they crack. Knock on wood.

Rokmen belly up came today!!!

Thing is giant - pure beef. I had to get it out of the shipping truck myself because the woman who delivered it couldn't.

So like any normal person would, I stopped mowing the lawn immediately, pulled my jeep out of the garage and started painting it

Looks sweet man!! I havent dove in for a TT yet, quite a bit of cash and looks to be a good day of work getting everything together right. My stock skid is in good condition considering i try to take it easy on the metal VS. rock... I also am not running a BL either. I may need a BL when i get my 33's (at 3.25 now) or close to it... I love how much flex i can get out of my 31's

I look fordward to seeing how it goes for you, what issues you run into and what not. Get it on soon

Got everything set up today! Went real smooth, took about an hour and a half MAX by myself. Other than breaking carriage bolt and having to go pick up a new one. Very straight forward and gained about 1 3/4"-2" of clearance under the belly. Only problem now is the exhaust hits the pass. front upper arm mount, but I'll get that taken care of. No vibes either

Yes sir, and no vibes. I think I got around 2" from the OME coils, plus about
2" (max) lift to the t-case from the TT, so my t-case is sitting probably closer to about 3.5"-4" of lift. I"ve heard LJ's usually don't need sye/cv until around 5" but i'll probably end up getting one anyway sometime down the line. The TT/MML actually really helped my pinion angle since my rear upper arms have been set wrong.

On another note, I have a popping when I accel. that started after wheeling sunday. Just one small clunk/pop when I take off. Thinking it's the rear lower arms but not sure. Any ideas?

Assuming you were focused on you TT when you were under there, i would crawl back under there and check anything that could be loose. I had a funky noise last week, turned out to be a loose upper shock mount.

Interesting to know you have the stock shaft... looks like my next move is all new control arms...

Yeah i'll go check the control arms tomorrow. If it's not that than I'll just start guess and checking. Oh and another plus is that my front shaft doesn't rub on the skid anymore. My stock tranny skid and crossmember were so bent up that everytime I flexed, or hit a bump, or went over a hill too fast, the shaft would rub on it. You can see a bare ring on the shaft on the picture above.
