Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't done much other than add the new Headlights and HIDs. Took 'er off road over the weekend and misjudged the depth of some water and ended up sucking in water through my intake and hydro locked my engine, ended up with a bent push rod. Gonna be fixing it up and should have it running by the end of the week. I'll post pics soon!

I ordered sway bar disconnects as well as 2" Coil spacers to add on to my 3.5" suspension lift. Adding on shock boots today and gonna continue trying to get her running 100%

No bent rod. Unsure about the actual problem but she is running. Flushing the engine today and letting her sit with the oil pan open for a day or two to let everything run out, hopefully it's just the water in the oil causing the lifters to tick but it could also be a bent valve. Last resort would be a head rebuild.

Updates to come!

Do you have adjustable control arms? You may run into pinion angle issues at 5.5" w/o adjustables. What about shocks? Track bars?

No I don't. My buddy is running the same setup and he says it's all running the same as it did at 3.5"

Adj track bar soon to come.

Shocks should be ok.

I'll also be doing a T-Case drop when I put on the spacers.

Thats a bummer about the water in your engine man. Hopefully rebuilding your head isnt going to be meeded.

Post some pictures once you get your coil spacers on it!

Yeah got all the water out by flushing the engine multiple times hoping the ticking was just the water making my lifters stick but it's still ticking. Possibly a flat cam. Still working on diagnosing the dang thing. I'll probably buy a new head instead of rebuilding it if it did need it. I need to get it back on the road asap so a rebuild is incredibly inconvenient.

On the plus side I got my sway bar disconnects in the mail and can't wait to throw them on! Also gonna be getting a snorkel soon.

Updates to come!

A tcase drop isnt needed on ZJ's. It kills your hard earned clearance. Plus the drive lines on these jeeps are long enough that they are not necessary. Get a set of adjustable arms and you will not need a drop.

Don't bother trying to rebuild the heads they are almost always cracked even without taking on water. Plan on a little more than $300 each.

I'm more than likely gonna buy a new head if it needs to be rebuilt. Save time and money.
