Well let's start off with an introductory, I'm a 17 year old going into my senior year in high school in northern California. I own a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It's my first car and my first build of what I hope to be many. I have always liked Jeeps as I was raised in a family dominated with Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler. One of my favorite hobbies is mudding and I thought what better off road vehicle to get than a Jeep. I purchased my ZJ from an elderly couple who maintained it cosmetically, however mechanically it lacked the proper appreciation. So let's start with some stock pictures.

Here it is the day I bought it

And not to long after, taking it off-road

To-do list
x3.5" Rough Country Suspension Lift Kit
x265x75r16 BFG All terrain t/a KO

Fast forward to today and I started off bright and early by replacing the spark plugs and wires. the old ones were all stock and toasted. After much speculation I also decided it would look better with plasti-dipped rims so I did just that and am currently working on the last 2 rims.

Thanks! Good to know someone else likes it too! I might also do all the chrome emblems as well shortly. Posts like yours help keep me motivated!

Blacking out those emblems would be a really nice touch. Have you looked into sye's or tcase drops yet? It might be a good idea once you put on the 4 inch lift kit. Looking forward to seeing your build progress!

Decided to continue plasti-dipping and did the badges/emblems as well as removed the 4x4 badges and also plasti-dipped the grille. Up next comes the cladding. Here are some pics of the work done today and the end results. This is the result of about 5 hours of work. Would have been faster but I took my time and still made a few mistakes. Final product in my eyes looks great though and was well worth the time!

Grabbed the air hat, now I need to get some tubing so it will mount to the rest of the intake properly!

I went to Auto Zone today and picked up a 28" Spectre intake duck, I love it seamlessly connected the new hat and the air box. Thing runs beautifully and has made a very noticeable difference when driving. Recommend this to anyone!
