I was thinking the same thing about the garage. Front axle looks great.

ya black. we were going to go silver but just don't have the time. so we are just spraying it with PPG DBC base clear black. it is just a quick paint job so how it comes out of the the booth is what it gets. no flow coat, no rubbing.

Looks good for a quick paint job. Looks like you did a really good job with the prep.

Looking great! Pretty good flex for the brand new lift springs. I bet it will get better after the next few trips.

OK. so now that i do not have the jeep here to work on progress will slow as i have to bring parts home to work on them. I brought the bumper home to finish it and have started to work on the led lightbar.

This is just the prototype to see how the housing will dissipate the heat created by the leds. I may just finish this one and use it as a reverse light. The tape is temporary as i have not made the front lens holder yet. In theory it should be as bright as a dually with half the amount of leds.

OK so the plan this weekend was to go upnorth put on the rear tube flairs, safari top, new steering shaft and go wheeling.

Well we had an issue got there Saturday morning and went to start the jeep. and NO. narrowed it down to the fuel pump, so we drove a half hour away to get a pump. when we went to install the sending unit in the tank. it would not fit. it so happens that the whole bottom of the tank is bent up. not the skid just the poly tank. we figure it is from the ethanol in the gas causing the tank to get soft and move out of shape.

So it looks like i am going to look for a new tank.

The good of the weekend. got the smittybuilt rear xrc tj flairs on, new bestop safari top on and put in the new steering shaft in. so the weekend was not all bad. i will post some pictures of the jeep in summer mode when i get home.

got upnorth this weekend and installed the new tank and sending unit and still no fuel. turns out i got the dreaded computer issue. so i am going to pull the computer out an take it home and put it on the surgery time.

aside from that issue we still got to drive it. met up with our friends who just bought a 91 2.5 and went to some sand hills late last night. the jeep took the hills and deep sand good. the 10.5 km2's gripped the send good. as for our friends who had 12.5 sst's they had some trouble. but it was fun. i took some pictures but they all turned out black as it was pitch black out.
