Keepin' it in the family... '95 YJ (re)build

Hey guys... I am new here but not new to car/vehicle forums. I'm a 27 year old Mechanical Engineer/gear head. I had an '86 K5 until about a year ago (sold it for an awesome deal) and since then I've been itching for something else to toy with...

So when my girlfriend told me that her dad was considering selling his '95 YJ that SHE drove in college and after (before selling it to him when she moved to Chicago) I immediately picked up the phone and called him to discuss it... They live in Northern Indiana and it has a lot of body rust that needs repaired, but is mechanically sound... He doesn't want to get rid of it but if I promised to keep it and fix it up like it deserves, he'd let me end up with it So when we went there for Thanksgiving (we live in southern Kansas) I rented a tow dolly, forked over some cash and brought it home!

It is a '95 with the 2.5 with just over 100k on it. Completely stock other than the front bumper... So far I have purchased 2 gallons of Monstaliner, new floor pans, rocker guards, rear tube bumper, and new fog lights. I plan on cutting into her the day after Christmas and at least having the tub, bumpers and guard lined and all installed. My list is much longer than just those things, but we'll have to see how it goes. Stay tuned!
