This sounds oddly erotic... (Am I allowed to say this?)

Well that sounds like a really pleasant side effect. A chemical I work with on a daily basis causes jaw necrosis if inhaled. Wanna play?

Yes. Yes you are. You get points for sexual puns and distasteful jokes.

By the way- welcome to my thread where the rules are made up and the points don't matter.

Well that just sounds delightful. What do you use that cocktail for?

No, you are not allowed to say that about things that cause nerve damage.

None of the things I have lying around are jaw-dissolvingly bad in the immediate...they just end up causing unpredictable long-term damage. That's why I'm actually somewhat concerned about using them; the NFPA doesn't take them seriously and doesn't caution people strongly enough...there's not even a hazmat charge on shipping them.

Not in the least. I learned my lesson when I figured out what happens when you spray chlorinated brake cleaner on hot metal/welds.

Semiconductor uses for waffers etching which basically ends up as electronic boards for cell phones,TV's,Car electronics etc. We have several other chemicals and gasses used.

That is true. I actually take great offense to the way NFPA and the EPA are run in this country. By the way, all of the plasticizers in pretty much any plastic that comes in contact with your food, water, ect... Almost all of them are proven to cause a myriad of disorders yet are not regulated. In addition, this country has the least stringent rules of all developed countries for shipping haz-mat.

Any chance you use a mask that is either peel or incinerate off?

Also: just had a massive "in yer FACE" moment with our QC department when I discovered something was done that shouldn't have been. But I am more upset about the inequitable distribution of jelly in the doughnut I stashed away for lunch.

That's why I make my own; the jelly-dough matrix can be controlled to a degree not possible in a mass-produced pastry.

Nicely done sir.

I would make my own if I cared for doughnuts- but after 4 years working at Dunkin', my taste for them has been rather exhausted.

However! These are no mass produced pastry, these are carefully crafted with love and magic out of a small, family owned bakery in Southwick, MA.

There's nothing on the surface of this planet that I hate more than a cake-style donut...except monkeys.

They are generally awful. Except there are a few places that make cider doughnuts around here that are to die for.

Interesting... ill note down monkeys as a weakness. In a fair trade, I really hate seaweed. A lot.

Well we have to use face sheilds and chemical suits when working around any chemical like that. We have some solvents that can even cause birth defects if you are exposed to them long enough without proper PPE. Don't want the kiddos coming out naked lol. I know the wifey would be mad as hell.

I wouldn't note it as a weakness, because a "weakness" would be something like "boobs" or "small kittens and balls of yarn." I just hate monkeys, with nothing else attached to the sensation. Sometime, I'll tell you about the dream I had where I worked in a monkey-killing factory that produced pre-killed monkeys for scientific purposes. It was awesome.
