Its the much stockier zj tie rod which has a bend in it naturally. Good for clearing the aftermarket diff covers I still need to get around to installing.

Also: note to self. Put doors back at jeep bath time or it looks funny.

Well folks....

I think it is that time of year to put the top completely back on. My god was it a brisk ride into work this morning!

Sorry I have been a bit MIA. I am still getting into the swing of grad school. It is a long day going into work for 5, driving 2 hours, having 6 hours of class and driving two hours home on a Tuesday. Really throws off the rest of my week trying to catch up. I am sure I will get used to it soon.

Not much Jeepy news as of late. I was supposed to go on a run to Ma Bell this weekend... but I was deliriously tired and it was pouring like a bastard out with that cold front on Sunday. No wet rocks and diminished reactions skills for me. There is always next time.

The only thing that I have to report is I have noticed that squeaking when I take off on a slight hill. Its not the serpentine belt.... I am wondering if it could be a pulley or bearing since it only happens at low RPM from a stop under slight load. Until I can figure it out, I have been careful to use 1st even if on the slightest of inclines. Any wild guesses?

Could be a couple of different pulleys. Only one way to find out. Jeep is looking solid btw.

Replace everything I can get my hands on?! Lol - that's been the recent theme. I almost have a brand new Jeep!

And thank you very much - I am pretty darn happy with her progress considering that this time last year she was still bone stock. I may be biased, but shes probably one of the most visually appealing Jeeps I have seen - even including the Jeep rallys.

Not to mention - I haven't gotten stuck yet. I even got to whip out the recovery strap and rescue Swamp B**** the other weekend.

Ladies and gentlemen (well mostly gentlemen... I think I had one lady stop in here once) - fall is in full swing and I am so happy.

Since I missed out on ma bell last weekend I will be hitting up a trail in the Berkshires this weekend. Have a good night everyone!
