As soon as I figure out a good way to upload the videos I'll post those as well.

I saw you mentioned you were wheeling in the Berkshires, I'm from Jersey but working up in NW Mass for the week. Any plans to go out again this week? I'd love to check out some trails since I'm up this way!

Not the quantity of wheeling spots I am sure you are used to - but I really do like the variety of terrain that comes in New England.

I dont think so - as of right now I have to give my coolant system a good flush. I have to take it easy until then. After wheeling on monday then driving back home my coolant actually boiled. I didn't know that was a thing.

Im more hoping you bring the Jeep next time!

Well - not too much has been going on. My roommate is sick and I think I am fighting it off. I have been exhausted. I did however manage to get all of my carpet out after the deluge yesterday. Hosed down both the interior and exterior. Other than incredibly minor surface rust on the drivers side floorboard the tub is in incredible condition. Ill try to remember to snap a pic of Alice in her birthday suit sometime before lunch.

Oh no! So It wasn't working? My fingers are crossed that it will dry out and work fine again.

Yep. That's whats holding up my sound system purchase. I want it to be as jeep-owner-proof as possible.

Alice is in the nude and I like it.

I am a bit perplexed by the tub work though. Most is smooth... some has a bed liner texture and in the corners it looks like it was brushed on far too thick.

Looks like seam sealer. Very common on newer vehicles. Check the inside trunk of a civic under the carpet and it's all over like that too

I figured as much. But the application is bothersomely shoddy and its going to make my tub lining process much more difficult.

Ok - the heat wave has FINALLY been broken.

I am out of work in 30, running home to change then out to the auto store.

Tasks for today:

Flush and fill cooling system
Replace serpentine belt
Degrease engine bay
Buy beer
Drink said beer

That it has. It's to bad I'm awaiting parts and can't take advantage of the weather. With my luck when I start working on the Jeep again the Heat will return.

Excellent Thread

Kate,

Thanks for making the Interwebz a more interesting place. I really enjoy the mix of technical talk and friendly banter. It reads like a really cool neighborhood garage.

Also, I'm from Tennessee; if the catfish ain't swimming past you then it's not really humid.
