Also- anyone have any ideas on where the best place to put my free quart of chassis saver? I know its not enough to do anything substantial.

Inside your frame rails, at the low spots.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Inside though? How would I accomplish the application.

It involves a funnel, a midget, and plenty of beer.

... yes.... exactly what I was thinking.

So - here are half the pictures from the day. From here on - I respect JKs a lot more. My buddy came out for his true maiden run with his 2013. That thing kept up very decently. Improved sway bar location and the CAs were close to the same build as the Curries. Very decent power.

I have a few more pictures that I took myself that I have to get developed. Either way, this was a really fun outing. Nice mix of grass cruising, loose rocky hills up and down, rock ledges and a fair amount of mud. We actually aborted mission and headed back after not daring to cross the pond the beavers created across the entire trail. 4ft deep is a little too much for my liking. I also found out that quicksand is a thing that actually happens around here. Walked across the trail to scope out what was coming up. Stepped on what looked to be dry packed sand and I almost lost my boot!

Also - bad news. I fear it will be far too hot to do anything this week but give Alice a good washdown.

Happy Monday everyone!

Yep. Not for me. Maybe once I get another daily driver then I'll think about stupid stuff like that.

Also - I was always worried about getting my first trail damage. The other week I scraped the fender a tad and I got a nick on my front diff by a ninja water rock yesterday. I'm kind of digging the battle scars.

I also think I have to do a coolant flush and fill. My engine temp gauge only reads 210F, but I think it may be faulty. I have noticed it running much hotter than it did last summer. As in the passenger side floorboards get uncomfortably toasty... and that is with the carpets still in. I have also noticed after a long drive there is a vast amount of condensation beneath her - generally coming off the muffler area.

If the flush & fill doesn't work I am not sure what else could be causing it.

I had a problem with overheating after my last wheeling trip where I went through some deep water and it ended up being the fan clutch. It was actually overheating though. You may want to look into those fancy hood louvers.

Can anyone tell me how the flux capacitor is used to facilitate time travel???

Yeah - it doesn't seem like it is overheating in all technical sense of the term. Just running a little hotter than I had remembered last summer.

I would love a good excuse to get a fancy hood louver - but I am more concerned with finding the root cause of this new-ish development.

Thats what I was thinking as a good place to start. I think I should be able to get that done tomorrow since Sunday I am going to Mayhem festival and Monday is hopefully a wheeling trip.

Oh yes! I forgot to take a picture on time - but I hit a major milestone on my way up to take Liz out to dinner last night. Time to look into swapping out my OPDA me thinks.

Also - to celebrate... I think the CT Jeep posse is getting together after work Monday.
