I am assuming he is referring to the t-case skid plate. The thing hangs down so low that when you try to cross over something and it gets caught, it acts like a shovel, just digging at the earth.

What part of the state is this park? Looks like some decent fun- how hard is it? Any pretty difficult off-shoots?

Krocks has some very tough trails and some really easy ones.

my favorite is Carnage Canyon (black diamond)

The Park is located in the south eastern part of KS. 10 mins from Fort Scott, Ks

Its about a hour and a half from KC if youre with a big group.

here is the website http://www.ksrockspark.com/

lots of fun......10 bucks to get in, 50 dollars for an annual pass (go as much as you want)

the area these guys are playin in is the gathering area. The parking lot is gravel and seperated from the trails (lets the guys with traliers avoid the ruts)

They have a balancing table, rock pile, mogels, and logs to play on. Not tough stuff, but fun to mess around on. Then you enter the trails. If it is a wet day the greens are blues, the blues are blacks and the blacks you dont attempt. We made the mistake one time of taking a black right after it poured all week. It took us all day to get off one trail about a 1/4 mile long!!

Onlyone, I never saw this thread!!! Great pics. Oh yeah, all Jeeps have their weakness, mine is the shovel!

Here is a link to the other thread, my pics are included
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f58/kansas-rocks-sept-24-a-195943/

I found that the KS Rocks park was very small. While we avoided some of the extreme trails, we covered most of the park in a slow moving 4hours.
Personaly, I like Tuttle Creek better. Perhaps it is because I only have a 30 minute drive drive from Manhattan.... KS rocks was fun none the less, but I am not sure if it is worth the 5 hour drive I had.

"Soon2Adjust"... I have wheeled with a few fellows from the KCJC at tuttle. Was a great trip!
