Got a new toy today.

Im pretty tired of having to find a ledge or something to flex out the rig and check for shock clearances etc.... So i decided to use a HF coupon and get a 1 ton engine hoist. It's on sale right now for $179 but theres a coupon in all the magazines out right now for $99. I picked it up last night and put it together today when i got home from work.

This should make things a lot easier. I need to measure for bumpstops soon and I think this will do the trick.

here is in in the 2 boxes it comes in

And assembled

Doesnt even take up much space when folded up

Nice! and its not blaze Orange. I wish we had a HF that wasn't a 3hr drive from here. I could really use one myself.

Damn you! People sell the HF here on craigslist all the time but are asking $200 for them.

Should be fine. I use my hilift and a strap to test flex in the driveway.

Gas tank has been finished and bolted back up. Threw 5 gallons in it and fired the jeep right up. Everything seems to be perfect. I only ran it for a couple minutes in the garage cause its raining out and i dont feel like going for a wet test drive.

Couple pics

Plenty of room now. With room to stretch as well

cant even tell from behind.

Thanks guys. Just one more thing to check off of my list of things to do. Next will be figuring out front bumps. My April wheeling trip is coming up fast. especially with my work schedule the next 2 months

Chris, do you want to try to go wheeling in July? We suggested April but I'll still be in school and now there will be my new sister-in-law's couples shower in Chicago at some point in that month. I know you'll be busy in June but you said July was not too bad. My best friend may also be able to go in July. He has a '92 YJ.

Gas tank looks great by the way.
