If Lynn doesn't have any springs i might end up buying some brand new waggys. I don't really want to but not sure what else to do.

Worked on my rig a little last night and this morning. Ive been super busy with work and other stuff lately.

I was able to take the bare D30 housing and get it all put together and installed. First thing i did was install some ball joints. After that i got it mocked up and cut out a top plate for the passenger side ubolt delete. Finished that up and swapped everything else over from my old 30. Didnt take any pics but i did get a pic all bolted up.

I also had to roll the jeep out of the garage so i could clean my huge mess. Not too bad considering i have no brakes


side shot. This is at 98" WB. 3" front and 1" rear stretch.



As mentioned before my driver rear sits 3/4" lower than passenger. Nothing is welded yet on the rear. Still trying to figure out what im going to do. Open to suggestions



And my messy garage. Dont worry its all clean now

That's because it is Mr. Dillards :-)

Except mine isnt as polished as Joe's. He was running chromo shafts and Warn lockout hubs w/ an ARB. Im just running TJ shafts and a spartan LL.

Well it's been about 2 weeks since I've update this, so I figure I'll bring you guys up to date.

First thing I did since Last time I updated was burn in my perches and shock mounts. Because I'm running the Teraflex upper shock bar I had to change out my lower shock mounts. I bought some Ruffstuff mounts a couple months ago and finally welded them up.

After all that I made a new rear driveshaft. I cut up a XJ shaft and internally sleeved it. I think the internal sleeve should last. It's 1.5x.25 sleeved with 1.75x.120 and then the shaft which is 2x.120.

And most everything bolted up in the rear



I was able to get my axles filled with fluid, bleed brakes and back her out of the garage again. It was dark so i wasnt really able to take any pics. Ill get some tomorrow.

I still have some things I need to do. I still need to bleed my brakes again, double check the tightness of EVERYTHING, set my toe, build my traction bar...ect. I also want to remove a leaf from my front waggy pack to lower it a little. I've been sitting high in the front for a while now. Just havent played with the springs in a while.


Also today I took advantage of some of the black friday sales going on. I ordered some Bilstein 5125 14" shocks for the front of my rig. I need to cut off my stock upper mounts and weld in my hoops. But thats for a later date.

Wish my spring perches looked that good. Due to the thick tube and my 130 welder I had to make some hot, ugly welds.

You'll like those 5125s up front. I'm running them too.doing full hoops is probably smart. I made my own shock tower top and cut off the factory. So far I've had to reweld each side once. They're hard to weld up against the inner fender.

The shocks are definitely nice. Nice looking work!

Thanks man. All of my welding is done with only a HH140. Ive never had a weld break. ~knock on wood~

I've read your thread a couple times and saw that you're running the 5125s as well. You're running 12" right?

I snagged the hoops a couple months ago from WFO. They're pure beef. Im currently running 5100s right now and like the ride so I figured the 5125s would fit the bill for the right amount of money right now. I got both front ones for only $170. I thought that was a pretty good deal
