Been doing some minor tinkering on my jeep lately.

I've had a clicking sound while driving/coasting and found out the front DS ujoints have slop in them. not really sure how. the DS is only a couple months old and i NEVER drive my jeep. ive probably driven it 15-20 times since i installed the new DS in April.

Oh well. I'll probably just order some new joints.

I also accomplished 2 things today. I dropped my skid and gusseted the traction bar mount. I dont think I'll have a problem with it.

Heres how it was just temporarily attached. Just some 1/4".

and nows its fully gusset'd

I also welded up the fire ext mount i got from VACJ5

you should put that extinguisher somewhere you can reach it from the drivers seat.

Its on the B pillar right next to the driver seat.

Whenever i re-do my cage and tie suspension seats to the cage ill probably mount between the door sill and seat

A little more action today. Not much to show.

i found out that my driveshaft U joints arent bad after all. My transfer case yoke is messed up. One of the stubs that helps hold the Ujoint is place is broken off, so the Ujoint has some side to side play in it. So looks like I'll be ordering a new yoke soon.

I also bent up a new trans crossmember that will clear my front driveshaft at full flex.

once that was done i got everthing mounted back up and I'm good to go.

Eh, I would add another extinguisher within reach of the driver first. I have one mounted in the back also. I figure that if my rig is on fire, someone from in the back seat or from the outside can reach it if need be. Especially if I need to get out in a hurry.

Jeep's looking good man!

Does look great. I am envious of your tube bender. I need to find some local friends with those kind of tools. My cage is not that sturdy and now that I have a soft top again I can get something going.

Traction bar gussets look good sir! Good inspiration for me to fab something.

I keep thinking I want to do more fab work, but then when I get money I spend it on stuff other than generators and welders.

Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."

Do it man. I know its hard to save it and not spend the money but a welder should be on the top of the list.

I don't know what id do without one
