Your LJ is rad man...awesome work! What a trade to have being able to cut and weld your own work!! We def should get a trail run in...Do you ride often?

Thanks for the kind words . I wouldnt consider it a trade as much as a hobby .

I dont get out on the trails as much as I used to , but the LJ is almost done and I have the itch !

Nice thread. I like what you've been doing to the LJ Rubi. I love the LWB and SWB all the same. Its awesome you do your own work, once again I really need to learn how to weld. ..but keep up the good work

Thanks for the encouragement . Sometimes I think I am nuts for fabbing my own stuff , but once its done I am stoked .

As to learning to weld , surf Craigslist and pick up a small Lincoln or Hobart . I see Lincoln 100s on there for $150-$200 regularly and its what I started with . The best way to learn is get some scrap and start practicing .

You can blame me if I can blame you ... deal ?

I got the rest of the welds cleaned up and the first coat of paint on . I also cut out the rest of the fairlead mount and a gussett . I didnt get pictures of the metal work . Hopefully next weekend when I get back home . For now its just a picture of the tubework in black .

Nice build. I'm in NC also. Glad to see you didn't have vibes with the 2.5" and tummy tuck, as I'm wanting to do the same with my 2" budget boost with no SYE.

I love the bumper! I have the Rokmen version

sadly thats the best picture I have of mine

It's a total tank, I had a girl slide her truck (which was the totaled) into my jeep at about 30mph and I didn't take any damage at all

Keep up the awesome build!

You are the man! I don't have a 2nd vehicle or the finances to lift my LJ. My favorite part are your new blinkers and the flat fenders. A class act!!,!
