[QUOTE="G Beasley"] Todays Jeeping Nothing Other than hobbling around Lowes with Kimbo and titling the utility trailer I didnt get anything done today . By the time we got out of Lowes my back was fried and all I could think of was getting home and sitting in my favorite chair . Needless to say we are sticking close to home , so no spring break trip this week for us . On a more positive note we have everything we need at the house to swap out the water heater and install 10' of storage cabinets for Kimbo .[/QUOTE
All I could read was Kimbo and titleing. What is TITleing?

I didnt want to talk about it in public ... but after four years of being discrete and only doing it when we had to we decided to title the utility trailer and put tags on it .

And this is what Kimbo had me working on all day even with the gimp'd back . But she is happy and my back feels better , so it was a good day !
I also got my parts in I was waiting for , and I can work on the tonneau cover tomorrow if we dont go on a day trip .

My back is feeling sort of not terrible , so its off to the metal shop to get some aluminum angle to reinforce the tonneau . The reinforcments will also be the mounting point for the struts too . I swear there will be some Jeep pics tonight ...

I spent the afternoon smoothing the tonneau corners out and de glossing the finish . It was so bright that I couldnt look at it , so for now it has a matte finish . I still think I am going to Line X the top and leave the edges polished once everything is complete .

Heres what the corner looked like as I started .

Roughed in with the flapper .

Starting to smooth out .

Still smoothing with sandpaper now .

And at this point I was using the flexible 3M sandpaper sponge paper .Its weird stuff , but great for contours .

Down to 1000 grit now .

My hands were grey by the time I finished , but I am happy with how it looks . Next up is the braces , and I think a roof basket if I can find one for a reasonable price .

Wow, that looks awesome.

I've used those flexible sanding sponges for a few things. They work well for some jobs

Keeping the polished edges would look sweet, and would match the polished rub rails.

Thanks but I am really not that patient as I am more stubborn . I had it in my mind what I wanted it to look like and I wouldnt quit until I got it that way .

See above , its more stubbornness And the detail part just kind of develops as I move forward. I had a rough idea of what I wanted the whole trailer to look like when I started it , now its getting close .

Either way, you got it looking right. Nice work; it looks almost as good as another one that I know of.

Mines almost that perfect ...

I have found this roof basket shipped for $98.60 . I think it may be the winner ...
