Cool Is the cover raised at all? Or flat? Wish I could do aluminum for mine. Mines lookin like it's gonna be pretty top heavy

The top is flat , and will sit up the thickness of the weatherstrip.

The tonneau would look nice with a big Fred fab logo on it.

I was half joking but the more I think about it I actually think raw or polished wouldn't look bad with your grill/wheels.

I should probably get a few of those stickers made up , but I dont think the tonneau is the right spot for one . I have thought about wrapping it with a topographic map of Moab .

Half joke about chrome or shiny stuff ? Blasphemy ! Once the corners are welded up I will post pictures of the tonneau in its natural finish . It does have the potential to tie in ... but theres a fine line between just enough shine and oh lawd jeebus .

There was a jk8 at sema this year with a topo map on the side. Small and tasteful. It looked good to me.

If the finish was dulled it would probably look good without blinding anyone .

And here I thought I was being original I think it would look pretty neat but I am not sold on any one idea yet . Still open to suggestions y'all .

Sometimes tools find me at the oddest time and place . I wasnt looking for it but I bought a break for the shop tonight . I really wanted a finger break , but for the price I couldnt say no . I also have another drill press lined up when I get home , it is a 1950s Monster sized Delta with a really nice T slotted work table . And then theres still the Jet Mill in Va Beach , anyone want to pick it up and bring it West ?

All I planned on was asking some tig welder purchasing advice from a welding buddy , and I ended up with totally non related items .

Got money to spend on my buggy first

If I lived where you do I would stay focused on wheeling like you and Art are now .

Like I said above , you two are focused on the right thing ... wheeling ! I enjoy the fabrication but if we had the opportunities you guys do I wouldn't spend as much time in the shop . A tig welder is next on the list , and possibly a stomp shear the rest of it is already in the garage .
