Just Another CJ5 Build

Just started a rebuild of my '78 Cj5 Thought I'd share my trials and tribulations.
A little history...
I bought the Jeep back in '95 and had done some work to it:
Lift, interior, dash, bumpers... Did some wheeling... Rubicon, Fordyce...
Broken some stuff... AMC 20, Steering...

But... She's sat in the driveway for the last couple of years...
Now its time for a complete overhaul.

The goal is something like this:

This is the starting point...

looks like someone got a little excited with the diamond plate back in the 90's. But looking forward to the rebuild. Best of luck and I'm sure you will have some followers.

Yeah... My stepdad gave me a full 4x8 sheet of diamond plate for my b-day... I went a little crazy with it...

Making Progress

Been making ALOT of progress... Got my motor from Stu@ http://lsx4u.com/ which is part of http://www.justchevytrucks.com/
These guys are GREAT... I bugged him with emails for a month or two before finally buying my LQ9...
They were Very Helpful answered All of my questions and were even able to send a video of the motor... running... Woo Hoo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agJM3eQRE28
Costs ~$3000
Engine - $2300 (Includes:Stand Alone harness, ECM, TAC module and pedal.)
New Flywheel - $150
Shipping to my address (Actually the guy brought the pallet into my garage) - $570
The harness had each connector labeled... Came with instructions on how to hook up the 4-5 wires to make this thing run (Alternator, Fuel pump, fan, starter, power ... etc)
They even threw in a check engine light.
